Exposition

So who is Alexandra Tursi?

As a 2005 graduate of Cornell University, I have delved into marketing, writing, research, design and video production in both academic and corporate environments earning academic honors (particularly in writing) and achieving practical objectives.

My strength lies in communication and creativity that stems from an insatiable desire to read, talk and know more. Perhaps that is why I'm so keen on the seemingly endless possibilities the blogosphere has to offer. Beyond the scope of literature and traditional journalism, I can read about the life of a fashion writer, a political junkie or find cupcake recipes, learn about public relations from a seasoned leader in the field, keep in touch with the Cornell Class of 2005, know what Alex Ross thought about Anthony Minghella's Madame Butterfly -- all this and more. I can stretch the horizons of my own perspective, or, conversely, I can find companionship amongst, for example, other bookworms just like me as at Identity Theory.

I jumped from blogophile to blogger this past year when I started my own arts blog, covering the arts scene here in the Green Mountains, then joined up with Identity Theory, where I'm currently the Visuals Editor and a Social Justice Blogger (I was a Government major at Cornell after all).

So now you know what I think about blogs and online media, now more about my background.
